Olga_DanilevichResources Global Professionals [1]

Olga is a consultant in the area of corporate governance and regulatory compliance with GAAP, IAS and SEC Reporting Standards. She is currently with Resources Global Professionals, an international professional services firm (NASDAQ: RECN) that provides 500 Fortune public companies with highly experienced executive-level professionals on a project basis. One of Olga’s most recent projects was the Restatement/Recertification of Financial Statements of Mercury Interactive Corp where she worked on the SEC investigation and related forensic accounting activities.

Prior to joining Resources Olga was a Controller at OpenTable, Inc, a leading provider of a software marketing and online reservation tool for restaurant industry. Before OpenTable Olga worked three years as an Assistant Controller at Communication Intelligence Corp. (CIC), a public company that manufactures biometric signature verification software. Olga moved to the US in 2001 from Minsk, Belarus, where she worked for 12 years in the banking industry, from an Associate to Controller and Chief Financial Officer of two commercial banks.

Olga holds Masters of Art in Linguistics degree from the Minsk State Linguistic University and an MBA degree with Honors (focused in Finance) from the Belarusian State Economic University.


Anna DvornikovaAmerican Business Association of Russian Professionals (AmBAR) [2]

Anna was a Co-Founder and the VP of Business Development at BKP Security, a government IT security company. Prior to that, she was a Foreign Advisor at the international law firm, Coudert Brothers, and has experience working on multiple corporate, commercial, and intellectual property transactions both in the US and in Russia.

Before moving into private business, Anna held academic research positions at the Center for International Security and Cooperation (Stanford University) and the Moscow office of the John M. Olin Institute for Strategic Studies (Harvard University) focusing on international security issues. She has her J.D. from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and her Master of Laws degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley. Anna was 2005 AmBAR President, Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD-2005) Technology Investment Conference.

 


Denis_Dovgopoliy Center for Innovations Development (Ukraine) [3]

Denis is currently working in the Venture Capital & Private Equity Industry as a Managing Director of Center for Innovation Development (CID). CID is a member of Techinvest Group that works closely with Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Techinvest manages Ukrainian High-Tech Competition and provides technology business incubator management, consulting, training, market research for Ukrainian startups.

Prior to CID Denis Dovgolopiy spent over 10 years in IT and telecommunications industry consulting. Denis was a co-owner and CEO of Profitcenter, management and consulting company and a co-owner of Mobile Marketing Research (MMR) Agency. Both Profitcenter and MMR were acquired by Center for Innovation Development. Mr. Dovgopoliy is a co-organizer of Conference "Client oriented company" (Education Management Industry). He was a commercial director at Novatek (Outsourcing/Offshoring Industry), Commercial Director at Ukrpage (Information Technology and Services Industry). Denis Dovgopoliy holds MBA degree from International Management Institute (Kiev) and MA degree in Aerospace Systems from Kyiv Politechnic Institute.

 


Ekaterina KalyginaSkyrider [4]

Prior to founding Skyrider, Mr. Khirman founded Narus, a global leader in software and technology for the telecom industry and government agencies, where he helped designed the world’s most scalable network transaction analysis system. Mr. Khirman had previously served as the networking group leader at VDOnet, a pioneer in internet video.
Mr. Khirman brings more than 20 years of experience in the software industry as an architect, manager, visionary, and inventor; he was behind the development of a number of standards organizations and participated in the early definition of the VoIP protocol. Mr. Khirman holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Kiev.

Prior to founding SperaSoft LLC, an offshore software development and outsourcing services company, Alexei was a Channel Development Manager with the Software Marketing Group, Sun Microsystems. He was responsible for business and channel strategy and management in driving adoption and deployment of Sun's business productivity suite worldwide. Previously, Alexei founded Martak International, Inc., a manufacturer's representative and export company, distributing hi-tech and medical equipment overseas. He received an M.S. in Management and Business from MIT, Sloan School of Management and M.D. from Volgograd Medical Academy, Russia.

Sima Kremer is Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO at Red Herring, a media group with print, online, and event properties, dedicated to serving news and analysis on the business of technology and connecting technology executives around the globe. In addition to being responsible for operations of the executive office, she works directly with the CEO on a variety of strategic products and manages Special Issue advertising series. She joined Red Herring in April 2005 as a Product Development Associate and worked on Red Herring conferences in North America and Asia. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. degree in Political Economy of Industrialized Societies and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.




Sima KremerMicrosoft Corporation [7]

Before joining Microsoft Leonid founded IOnKey Systems, an early-stage technology company where he was responsible for operations and product management. Prior to that he co-founded CallTheShots, an internet infrastructure company acquired by Akamai Technologies and worked for Financial Engines and Morgan Stanley. Leonid holds B.S. from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and M.S. and Ph. D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University.

Ilya is a Principal at Bering Group, a marketing and business strategy consulting firm with a mission to facilitate venture development between US and former Soviet Union. At Bering Group Ilya develops go-to-market strategies for technology companies from the FSU seeking to enter US market. Formerly, Ilya was a consultant at the IMF and the World Bank, a business development manager at Intermark, a Moscow-based relocation firm and a research analyst at Kroll Associates, an investigative and risk consulting company. Ilya holds a BA in Intercultural Communications from Moscow State Linguistic University (cum laude). Also, Ilya has graduated from Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy where he led a team of 4 entrepreneurs that won the Business Plan Competition. In addition to English and Russian, Ilya also speaks Portuguese and Spanish.



Russian Venture Capital Association (RVCA) [9]

Since 1998 Albina Nikkonen is an Executive Director of RVCA. The main goal of RVCA is to promote formation and development of venture capital industry in Russia. Albina Nikkonen is one of the organizers of the first Russian "fund-of-funds" Venture Capital Innovation Fund which was established in 2000 under the Government Decree. The main goal of VIF is to promote the appearance of venture funds with national capital in Russia. Also she is the Founder & Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Russian Venture Fair. Mrs. Nikkonen previously worked as a Deputy Manager of the Provisional Science Group PULSE at the USSR Academy of Science and the State Committee for Science & Technology.



Julia Pogodina

Julia Pogodina is a business attorney with over 10 years of legal experience and is qualified to practice law in California and Russian Federation. She specializes in business, corporate, international and intellectual property law. She also is "of counsel" at Intellectual Property Law Group. Besides legal Ms. Pogodina also has an extensive business experience. She was the Director of North-Western Branch of Miel Real Estate Agency in Moscow where she managed legal, financial, and sales activities. Prior to Miel she worked for Trud Joint Stock Company, where she handled a variety of legal and business matters including international business transactions and real estate.


Vera ShokinaSilicon Valley Bank [11]

She is in charge of a diversified portfolio of loans to emerging growth companies, primarily in the technology and life sciences industries. Prior to joining Silicon Valley Bank, she was a portfolio manager with GE Capital and a trader with Goldman Sachs in Menlo Park. Before coming to US in 1998, Vera was a relationship manager with Citibank Moscow where she worked with institutional foreign investors, including Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, Goldman Sachs and Union Bank of Switzerland. Vera holds B.S. from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages and MBA from the Finance Academy of the Russian Federation.



Olena Stadnyuk

Genentech, Inc. [12]

Olena Stadnyuk, MD, MPH is a Manager at Genentech's development department. Genentech is a public biotech company with over $100B market capitalization. Before assuming her post in Genentech, Olena worked in a medical device start-up PolyRemedy. Prior to joining PolyRemedy Olena worked in a venture capital fund Flagship Ventures in Cambridge, MA as an intern. At Flagship Olena led market competitive analysis and financial due diligence for prospective investments in biopharma and medical devices companies. Before moving to the US, Olena worked at Innovative Ventures Inc., a venture capital company located in Moscow, Russia. While at IVI, Olena selected investment and partnering opportunities in the Life Science field.

Olena was a semifinalist of the MIT 50K business plan competition. She has articles published in international biomedical journals and conducted presentations at international conferences. Olena Stadnyuk has an MD with honors from National Medical University, Kiev, Ukraine and Master in Health Care Management degree from Harvard University.


Evgeny Zaytsev

Asset Management Company [13]

Evgeny Zaytsev, MD, PhD AmBAR President, is a Partner with Asset Management Company, one of the oldest venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. He joined the fund in 2001 and brings diverse professional experience in research and operations. He has been Chief Scientific Officer of the Medico-Ecological Institute in Barnaul, Siberia, Russia, which was responsible for studying the health and environmental effects of the former Soviet Union's nuclear testing program. The Institute developed into an internationally recognized research center during his seven-year tenure in that position. Evgeny is an author of 39 publications, including 8 books and a NATO Advanced Study Institutes (ASI) Series publication. For his biomedical research, he was awarded the European Commission's Young Scientist Award and the Reward for the Best Achievements in Science and Technology (Russia). Evgeny was also Founder and Executive Director of the first US-Russia Technology Symposium held at Stanford University in January 2004.

In 1991 Evgeny received an M.D. with honors and a Ph.D. from Altai Medical University, Russia, and in 2002 earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. At Asset Management, Evgeny focuses on early stage investments in biotechnology and medical device companies. He is a Board Member of a number of private life sciences companies.
